Astrid Bjerke is originally from Norway, where she established the first macrobiotic restaurant in Norway, in Oslo, but has lived in the Algarve for many years and has been associated with the fasting programs at Moinhos Velhos since the beginning. Astrid is a certified yoga teacher and has her own yoga center in Lagos. She is also a Spiritual Healer and is one of the few people in the world who has been given permission by Joao de Deus (John of God) in Brazil to offer healing with the CRYSTAL BED, which she was instructed by Joao de Deus to bring too Portugal from Brazil.

Because of our long association with Astrid she has agreed to bring the crystal bed to Moinhos Velhos where all of our clients can have the experience of a healing session with the Crystal Bed.
Astrid will also offer sessions with Spiritual Healing.

Peter Hall ,DS dip Ac (China), MBAcC, has an extensive background in complementary therapies. He started his training in Martial Arts in 1968 in the UK and is a registered karate and shiatsu teacher. He has a diploma in Traditional Chinese acupuncture with post graduate courses in Japanese acupuncture, Chinese tui-na, acupuncture gynecology and infertility, and also has extensive training and experience in Traditional Chinese medicine, electro acupuncture, herbal medicine, Chinese dietary therapy and Life Coaching. Peter also teaches QI Gong Daoist exercise, soft martial arts and meditation.
Peter will do a health assecement the day after your arrival and on two different days during the week will be teacing Chi Gong in the morning (instead of yoga)

Shridevi

Initiated in Kriya Yoga by Paramahamsa Prajnanananda in Austria and Sivananda yoga by Archarya Sukadev Bretz (disciple of Swami Vishnu Devananda for 12 years). Shridevi had two years teacher training under his guidance and one year yoga therapy training under the guidance of Ravi Persche in Germany .

Shridevi loves chanting Mantras and Bhajans, fire ceremonies (Homa, Agni Hotra) and Pujas. She has lived in Italy , Cyprus , and Spain and has spent 8 years living in international communities. She also runs a fasting program in Germany and is a member of BDY (Yoga teacher Association of Germany.

Anand  

A Traditional Ayurveda Abhyanga Massage Therapist Anand studied under Jnanajanmadi Das Wloka he is also a Sivananda yoga teacher and is a member BDY (Yoga teacher Association of Germany

Anand has travel the world living two years in India , 7 years in South Africa and a year in Spain . He loves gardening, the ocean, lighthouses, shells and animals. He completed the 21 days process under the guidance of Thomas Huebl, a contemporary spiritual teacher and founder of the Academy of Inner Science who invites people to experience a deeper dimension of self-awareness and individual responsibility.

He is also an Osho disciple since 1978 attending several meditation workshops and trainings like Mystic Rose for 21 days – laughter, tears, witnessing silence)
