The practical details, in one place
This page supports organisers planning a retreat, training or workshop at Moinhos Velhos — pricing, capacity and policies, clarified before you book. Exclusive hire means your group has sole use of the property and facilities for the duration of your stay.
Standard hire includes accommodation for up to 15 overnight guests, and three additional compact single rooms can raise that to 18. All overnight guests — including organisers, facilitators, chefs and support staff — count toward the agreed numbers.
Accommodation
- 3 premium single rooms
- 4 twin rooms — 8 beds in total
- 2 twin cottages — 4 beds, an individual bathroom for each occupant
- 3 compact single rooms to extend capacity from 15 to 18 (€50 per room per night)
- A complimentary single room for the retreat host, with a private bathroom next door
Every room and cottage is en suite. Room allocation is managed by you, the retreat organiser.

Pricing
Seasonal nightly rates
Rates are for exclusive hire of the whole site, including accommodation for up to 15 guests, and are indicative — final pricing is confirmed against your dates, length of stay and group details.

Minimum hire
A minimum hire fee equivalent to three nights applies to every booking. Shorter stays can be agreed in advance, with the three-night minimum fee still applying.Check-in & check-out

Payment terms
How the booking is secured

Final balance
Missed payment dates may lead to cancellation of the booking, with amounts retained under the cancellation policy. A refundable security deposit may be agreed in writing for particular bookings, and organisers are responsible for any damage, loss or excessive cleaning caused by their group.

Cancellation must be made in writing; charges are calculated on the total booking value regardless of what has been paid. If we ever have to cancel — illness, force majeure, the property becoming unavailable — everything you have paid is refunded in full.
Catering, optional
The venue is offered on a space-only basis. Where available, our preferred in-house and local retreat chefs can cater at €40–45 per person per day, with a €500 minimum daily spend, subject to chef availability. You are equally welcome to bring your own caterer — we keep a list of recommended local chefs.

Retreats involving children must be agreed in advance — the site has a pool, open ground and uneven terrain, and supervision, safety and insurance stay with the organiser. Full terms are set out in the Retreat Hire Agreement issued at booking.
