Hire Moinhos Velhos for your own retreat
We've been running retreats here since 1992, and for facilitators bringing their own group, the whole site — and everything our team has learned along the way — is available to hire exclusively.
The 16-hectare valley sits beside the Barragem da Bravura, its hills naturally laced with quartz, fifteen minutes from Lagos and an hour from Faro Airport. Guests arrive to total privacy and a setting that does a fair amount of the work for you before your programme even begins.

Accommodation
- Accommodation for up to 18 overnight guests
- One complimentary single room for the retreat host
- A mix of singles, twin rooms and twin cottages
- Every room and cottage is en suite
- Cottages have an individual bathroom for each occupant
Facilities on site
- The yoga temple, used for classes and workshops
- A therapy clinic with three treatment rooms
- A chemical-free salt-water pool, 12 x 6 m
- A wood-fired Finnish sauna
- The spiral-walk meditation garden
- Walking trails around the neighbouring reservoir
The main building has a dining room, a dedicated juice kitchen and a second kitchen for staff use, plus a wood-stove living room that doubles as a second workshop space. A grape-vine-shaded terrace and a stone stairway connect it all down to the temple and pool.

Support, if you want it
Our team and kitchen, on hand
You can run your retreat entirely independently, or draw on our resident team where it helps — massage, energy work and acupuncture therapists, plus yoga and meditation teachers, are all available to support your programme. Catering can be arranged around your group's needs, from full board through to self-catering with use of the guest kitchen.
We're also happy to help you fill the room: a listing on our website and Facebook events page, a mention to our mailing list, and high-resolution site photography for your own marketing materials all come as part of a hire booking.
